These four places offer beautiful beaches and a great variety of accommodation.

Despite the fact that they are only a few minutes drive apart, each allows the traveler different opportunities, be it a quiet afternoon rocking in a hammock or exploring jungle paths in search of cool and fresh relief.


Between Punta Maroma and Punta Beté one finds one the surprises common to Mexican Caribbean: a cold and crystalline fresh water river rises to the surface, leaving its subterranean journey, and rushes out to sea, where it combines with the salty water of the ocean and creates a small and unique ecosystem. On both sides of the bay, there are hotels of excellent quality.



Xcalacoco

Or "twin coconuts", just south of Punta Bete is a Paradise for campers. Small

restaurants serve the day's catch, and there are public restrooms, a small archeological site, rustic accommodation, and solar electricity. The palm trees offer fresh shade during the day, and for necessary purchases, Playa del Carmen is a mere 20 minutes drive away. 


Playa del Secreto

Separated by an extensive corridor 5 kilometers wide, Playa del Secreto and Playa Paraiso express the exotic beauty of Mexico's Caribbean in a unique atmosphere of tranquility and recreation - a return to the natural beauty which combines jungle and sea. 

Here on these beaches, crabs and sea turtles make their homes. Cabin lodging is available and Playa Paraiso has an "all-inclusive" hotel.
